This long-distance walk is a celebration of the beauty of the
English landscape
and lays at your feet some of the island’s most inspiring scenery.
There are panoramic views from the downlands, while Brighstone
Forest and
the breathtaking sea view of the Needles also have magic of their
own.
We visit many delightful towns and villages along the way, which
have much to interest and admire.
Shorwell and Whitwell nestle in green countryside with handsome
stone buildings and charming old cottages.
Unspoiled Brook, seated in more rugged country, houses the mansion
which was once home to J.B.Priestly. Carisbrooke boasts an early
Norman castle, complete with a courtyard well over 160 feet in
depth,
while Brading still possesses its old Town Gaol complete with
whipping post and stocks.
