1. STEP BY STEP WALKING HOLIDAYS offers a variety of walks ranging from easy to strenuous which can be between 8 and 14 miles per day.

2. OUR WALK LEADERS are all experienced walkers, who live on the Isle of Wight.

3. Our breaks and holidays can begin on any day of the week, commencing with dinner on the day of arrival and concluding either after the final walk (in which case you will be asked to clear your bedroom on the morning of the final day) or after breakfast on the following morning, depending on the booking agreement. Where guests have chosen to depart after the final walk, washing and changing facilities will be provided.

4. A NON-REFUNDABLE DEPSIT of £30 per person is required at the time of booking with the balance payable either in advance or while on holiday, depending upon the booking agreement.

5. CONFIRMATION OF BOOKING shall constitute a contract between us. Cancellation will be subject to one of the following charges: Before 60 days – loss of deposit only; 59 – 42 days - - 50%; 41 – 2 days – 65%; cancellation on the day prior to the holiday, on the first day or during the holiday – total holiday cost is payable.

6. WE RECOMMEND that you insure your holiday. We can offer comprehensive cover including cancellation protection.

7. NO ALLOWANCE can be made for meals, accommodation or any walks not taken during the period booked (Excluding walks cancelled by Step-by-Step)

8. A MINIMUM of six walkers (4 in July & August) is required in order to arrange a guided walking holiday. In the unlikely event of that figure not being reached by four weeks prior to the planned commencement date, Step-by-Step reserves the right to cancel. In that event all deposits will be refunded and an alternative package/holiday date offered.

9. STEP BY STEP walking holidays, include half-board hotel accommodation; travel to and from walks each day, as necessary; pub or packed lunches; and the services of experienced walk leaders.

10. A FREE LUNCH TIME PICK-UP SERVICE is available, EXCEPT on our 4 classic walks where walkers must be able to cover up to 14 Miles on certain days.

11. STEP BY STEP WALKING HOLIDAYS cannot be held responsible for any alterations to or closure of any footpath by way of natural causes or local authority action.

12. WHILST TAKING EVERY CARE Step by step walking holidays cannot be held responsible for personal illness or injury, or damage to or loss of any personal belongings or equipment while you are on holiday.

13. BAD WEATHER – should weather conditions become unsuitable Step-by-Step reserves the right to shorten any walk on the grounds of safety.

14. THE HAMBLEDON HOTEL, which is the base for Step-by-Step holidays, complies with all current regulations (eg fire, health) and has been awarded four diamonds by the RAC and English Tourist Council.

15. BE PREPARED! Walkers should be sure to bring waterproof clothing and walking boots or shoes.

7. ASSISTANCE WITH TRANSPORT to the start of walks can be provided where possible (minimum of 4), at an extra cost.
